Our Founder
Our story begins with Dr. Andrew Rosen, whose passion for orthodontics and genuine love for the Southern Arizona community laid the foundation for Braces 520. In 1999, Dr. Rosen opened Andrew Rosen Orthodontics with a simple goal: to create beautiful, healthy smiles in a place where every patient feels like family.
What began as Andrew Rosen Orthodontics has grown into Braces 520. The practice is built on relationships, trust, and a deep commitment to the families we serve. Over 27 years, Dr. Rosen has had the privilege of treating generations of Tucson families. He often cared for parents and then welcomed their children into the practice years later.
A Pillar of the Community
Dr. Rosen’s impact reaches well beyond the treatment chair. He has made a lasting difference through his philanthropic work with The Conquistadores and his involvement with University of Arizona Athletics. Being voted Tucson’s “Best Orthodontist” for 11 consecutive years reflects the trust and loyalty of a community he has proudly served for nearly three decades.
An Exciting New Chapter
After 27 years of chairside care, Dr. Rosen is beginning a new chapter with Braces 520. He has stepped away from day-to-day patient treatment, but he hasn’t stepped away from the practice he built. Each week, Dr. Rosen meets with our doctors to review cases, collaborate on treatment plans, and provide clinical guidance and mentorship. His experience and high standards remain part of every smile we create.
Dr. Rosen personally selected Dr. Brian Decker and Dr. Ryan Howard to carry the practice forward. He chose them because they share his clinical standards, his philosophy of care, and his dedication to putting patients first. Dr. Decker has worked alongside Dr. Rosen for nearly four years, and Dr. Howard is the newest member of our doctor team. Together, they and the same team you know and trust continue the tradition of exceptional care that has defined Braces 520 from the start.
Beyond the Office
These days, you might find Dr. Rosen traveling with the University of Arizona football and basketball teams, playing golf, or chasing his 3 grown children around. And because he’s still part of the Braces 520 family, don’t be surprised if you see him around the office. Be sure to say hello!
